General information about Mixed League curling

Mixed Curling is the recreational, social category of curling activities.

The season is divided into several competitions that go for five to six weeks at a time. In between these competitions, there are bonspiels that last a week or two.

Mixed Curling draws take place on Friday evenings whereas bonspiels take place during weekdays.

For each of the different competitions new teams are made up by the competition committee who take into account the experience level of each curler to ensure that all the teams are balanced.

The convener for Mixed Curling and Bonspiels is Jay de la Durantaye.

Gray Trophy. Duration: Mar. 15 - Apr. 12 , 2013.

Congratulations to Steve Sewell and the rest of his rink, which included Jeannot Fournier, Barbara Mason and Sharlene Dearling, for winning the Gray Trophy.

Rules

Round robin competition with playoffs:

• six ends to be played. In case of a tie no extra end is played
• persons playing third are responsible for posting wins/ties/losses (exact scores are not important)
• standings: 3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 1 point for a loss
• for games starting at 6:50 pm, 6th end must start no later than 8:20 pm
• team in bold letters is responsible for providing snacks for all teams on that day

Closing Mixed. Duration: Apr. 8 - 13 , 2013.
